The original version of headlights centred around my own feelings of stress and anxiety regrading the future, it was an audio representation of my own agitation.

Fast forward roughly 7/8 months and my life is very different, truthfully I'm a lot more confident in the future and feeling a lot calmer internally. I wanted to use this optimism as an opportunity to create a sister mix for headlights that showed the end of the story. This less agitated version of headlights is a thank you to everyone who cared.

Things change was originally written in my second year of university. It was the first time I'd not played the instrument but instead stood back and took more of a director/producer role. My friend played passages and together, over the course of a day we built and nurtured those fragments into a song. I recently re found the original file and proceeded to put the finishing touches on it, feeling it made a good companion piece for the alternative mix of headlights.
